Website optimisation takes time

One thing which you should be aware of if you want to move you website higher in organic website searches, is that it takes time. If you are making a plan or schedule based around the your SEO intentions, be realistic.
The diagram to the left for example shows a sample of the areas which you will need to involve yourself in. You can look at trying to push through short-term imporvements through within 0-6 weeks (i.e. meta tag, alt tag and image name improvements) and then the longer term changes between 1-6 months. These longer term changes will largely include link building.
There are many areas that you will need to cover and at the very beginning take 1 or 2 days to carefully analyse the keywords and phrases you are targeting in searches. These words be make the foundation on which are efforts will be made over the coming months.
If you based in the South-West of England (i.e. Bristol, Bath, Plymouth or Exeter) you can contact paul@promarketingonline.com or visit the South-West SEO and Adwords site at Promarketing.
