The Latest Google update

Three weeks ago did another massive Google Update and this last one sent shivers through many companies with some big companies falling fowl of the Google algorithm changes. So who was affected and what can you do in the future to try and ensure you are not badly affected by future algorithm changes?

In this latest change, Google clearly seem to have clamped down on blogs and sites which were and are sellign lots of links. There were some big players such as major newspapers, who lwent from PR5 down ro PR2 for example. Peopel with home pages which had had high a PageRank, Web Marketing in Bristol, UKbegan to look like link sites with tonnes of links starting to be sold at the bottom of the page.

For future PR changes, the advice is to avoid making your site looking like a links selling page or site. Outgoing links generally mean that your own PR will be diluted. If you want your site to have a high Pagerank, do not get get carried away with selling links on your own site. Learn more from Google Webmasters
