Pay per Click marketing (1st March 07)

If you are running a PPC (pay Per Click campaign do not forget that you can optimise the keywords and campaign just the same that you can optimise web pages and web sites. Ensure for exmaple that you:
  • Spend plenty of time analysing your keywords lists. Spend time researching and carefully analysng the keywords. An excellent tool to use is Google's Keyword External tool https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal which tells you about the traffic for certain keywords, offers suggestions and also tell you of the competition for each keyword.
  • Make sure you group your keywords into sections of 3 or 4 together (and no more). Then you can make an ad specific for each group of 3 or 4 words.
  • Ensure that the landing page is set as perfectly as possible for each keyword.
  • Remember that you do not necessarily need to be at number 1 in the ads. You might be able to pay half the cost yet still be 2nd or 3rd.
