Deep Links (6th Dec. 06)

When thinking about your SEO strategy for your website, deep linking is an important consideration when you are thinking about links. Deep links refer to when links whether links from within the site or from external links into your site, take users to places deper in your site, than the homepage.

Deep links are great because they can take users to pages which are more directyl related and useful than what the home page may be. If your site is about Sicilian property for example, having the words Catania real estate and property, linked to a page which specifically talks about property in the city of Catania , is better for the user and for SEO. the pages which the links are goign to are more related in terms of keywords. At the end of the day, it is also better for the user.

Try and use deep links in and to your site. If you write articles and submit them to the article submission sites, do not only link to your home-page. The search engines will like you more :)
